Mailing Gold to Quinn’s Goldsmith

When mailing gold to our store for a price we require that you:

Place the gold in a zip lock bag, then put the gold in a box.
The box must be taped well.
Send to: Quinn's Goldsmith 199 Union Street Occoquan, Virginia, USA
Bring to your local post office and ask for insurance on the package.

You must declare a value on the package at this time. The best way to cover this is to determine the value is to put down what you paid for the item at time of purchase.

Let Rhonda know there is a package on the way.
If you are sending old mountings that have some small stones still set, we will determine prices for both and call you with a break down.
When the package is received we will inspect the box first. Then the box is opened under a security camera.
The gold will be inspected, and tested for gold content then placed on a gold scale to determine a value.

We will call you to let you know the package has been received and go over its value. Most items are then melted down for there gold content.

With that in mind please consider you will be getting only the gold value of the piece. It is the same value if it is in good condition or if it is a damaged piece.

There is an exception: if the piece is considered estate and can be resold as such we will pay more for those items. And that will be determined after we receive the items for inspection.
You may also include repairs in the package and the gold can be traded for any service we provide.

Any remaining value for the gold will be processed into a check and sent out when all repairs are completed.

Or if no services are rendered a check will be mailed after we have contacted you to verify the value. Once that value is agreed upon a check will go out that day.
You can also bring in you items to our store yourself. We accept everything from unwanted, broken, or damaged gold to diamond jewelry. We mainly buy Gold, Silver, Platinum, and Diamonds.

We will not purchase gold-filled items, or gold plated items. If you are not sure if it is gold or not, include the items in the package and we will do an acid test to determine the medal and its value.

If you are not satisfied with the item's value we will return it at no charge.
